The Indian cricket team has been in a great form in recent times as their skipper Virat Kohli has led them to a dominating home season by defeating every challenging opponent. Thus under the leadership of Kohli and a newfound confidence, the current Team India is expected to do wonders in the upcoming South Africa tour.

However, despite having one of the challenging sides on paper, the Indian cricket team will face an uphill task in the rainbow nation. Indian team is yet to win a Test series in South Africa and this time around, they will be looking forward to overturning their miserable fortunes.

Speaking of the upcoming challenge, former India all-rounder Roger Binny said it will not be easy for the Virat Kohli’s men to win against South Africa in the three-Test series starting Friday (January 5) in Cape Town. He said, “Definitely it is not going to be easy. We have just got off from all Indian pitches. The batsmen are all set in these conditions. It is not easy. They have to really play good cricket to come good. The wickets are not going to be batting friendly.”

He further added, “Our record at home has always been 100 percent. But in Australia, England, South Africa where the bounce is different and there is movement off the seam we have struggled. That is the only drawback. We have to get over that. Our batsmen have to come good.”

Roger also went on to say that the South Africa tour will be captain Kohli’s biggest trial. The tour will test his leadership skills and well as batting skills, and it is here that Kohli needs to perform to establish himself as a leader of the game.
