Ahmedabad, also known as the ‘Manchester of India’, is set to witness the biggest cricketing rivalry as India and Pakistan are set to square off against each other in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 match number 12 on Saturday. Before the game lit up the Narendra Modi stadium, Indian captain Rohit Sharma and the coaching staff stepped out of the team hotel for dinner at one of the renowned restaurants of the city.
Social media was buzzing with the video of Rohit, Rahul Dravid, Vikram Rathour, and others visiting Agashiye, House of MG in Ahmedabad, which is a vegetarian Gujarati Thali fine dining restaurant. Meanwhile, the Indian skipper also gave his autograph to a few cricket fans who were present at the restaurant.

Babar Azam & Co received a warm reception after reaching the team hotel in Ahmedabad ahead of their much-anticipated clash against India. After winning their first two matches of the campaign in Hyderabad, the Pakistan team took a flight to Ahmedabad for the marquee clash. The men in green also cut cake on their flight which was organised by the cabin crew of the carrier.

Upon their arrival at the hotel here, Pakistan players received a warm welcome with a shower of flower petals and balloons, traditional scarves, and the sound of dhols combined with a dance performance. News18 Cricketnext reported on Thursday that Gill trained at a GCA facility for nearly an hour. Some throw-down specialists accompanied the India opener and he had a proper hit – not gentle knocking with the bat.

“Shubman Gill was here in the morning and he did bat around one hour. Not many people were around when he was batting and he left the premises the moment he was done with the hit,” a GCA official told Cricketnext.
