Team India recently arrived in the USA to begin their preparations for the much-anticipated T20 World Cup 2024. The first group of players landed in America and started acclimating to the weather conditions and different time zones in a country where they have limited cricketing experience. India is set to play a warm-up match against Bangladesh on June 1 before commencing their World Cup campaign against Ireland on June 5.

With several days remaining before the tournament’s start, the players took the opportunity to explore the city. They were seen strolling through the streets of Times Square, interacting with fans, and taking photos. Local Indian fans eagerly snapped pictures of the Men in Blue, giving cricket enthusiasts a glimpse of the team’s activities as they gear up for the 20-team competition.

A recent viral video captured an endearing moment featuring Indian team captain Rohit Sharma and head coach Rahul Dravid. Both were seen in casual attire, navigating the streets of New York amid heavy rainfall. A fan eagerly awaited a photo with the two cricket legends, but the downpour complicated the situation.

Rohit and Dravid patiently waited before signaling their car driver to bring the vehicle closer. They made a dash for the car through the rain, leaving the fan without his desired photo. Nonetheless, the fan cherished the experience of seeing the icons of Indian cricket up close.

The inaugural champions held their first training session ahead of their warm-up game against Bangladesh in New York. The players were greeted by a bright, sunny day as they hit the practice field. Hardik Pandya joined the team from London, adding to the squad’s strength. Rohit Sharma, Suryakumar Yadav, Jasprit Bumrah, and Hardik Pandya shared pictures from their initial training session in the USA, capturing the excitement and dedication of the team.

Currently, only the first batch of Indian players has arrived, with the remaining players, including Virat Kohli, expected to join in a couple of days. Kohli, the former Indian captain, did not accompany the initial group, having been granted a short break by the BCCI.
