Mumbai did manage to come back in the game following the massive partnership from Du Plessis and Maxwell as they picked up wickets in a matter of three over to leave RCB reeling at 136/2 to 146/5 with Jason Behrendroff providing the team with the breakthroughs. However, veteran wicket-keeper batter Dinesh Karthik stepped up the plate to deliver crucial innings for his side as he scored 30 runs off 18 deliveries to help RCB get to 199 runs on the board at the end of the designated 20 overs.

However, Dinesh Karthik’s knock did not come without a lifeline as the batter was dropped by Cameron Green during the knock the batter tried to go aerial but failed to time the ball well and Cameron Green who initially judged the ball correctly did position himself under the ball but failed to keep a hold onto it.

Rohit Sharma could be seen frustrated with the dropped catch as Anushka Sharma who has there in the stands to support RCB rejoiced as Dinesh Karthik lived to stay another day.
