Rohit Sharma made a spectacular start, scoring a fifty on debut and earning the Player of the Match award against South Africa. However, the 37-year-old reminisced about a different highlight from that tournament—the memorable bowl-out against Pakistan in 2007.

“The first thing that comes to my mind is the bowl-out we had against Pakistan,” Rohit Sharma recalled. “It was the first-ever bowl-out in a World Cup, and for us to come out on top was incredibly exciting. No teams had done it before. We used to practice for bowl-outs after our regular training sessions, knowing that we might need to win a game this way. When we finally faced Pakistan and won through the bowl-out, it was a thrilling moment.”
