Rohit Sharma Reveals His Learnings From Virat Kohli As The Captain

Former Indian skipper, Virat Kohli is hailed as India’s best captain in Test cricket as under his captaincy the Indian team produced some major victories in overseas conditions. Team India’s skipper Rohit Sharma revealed the biggest learning he got from Kohli’s leadership when he was playing under him on the Test team.

Team India registered a dominating win over Australia by a huge margin of an innings and 132 runs. In the post-match press conference, Rohit Sharma discussed about his biggest learning from Virat Kohli’s leadership.

Rohit Sharma said, “When I was playing as a player, Virat was captaining then. I noticed one thing that, no matter if we don’t get a wicket, but that pressure has to be there so that the opposition makes a mistake. That is something I learned when Virat was captaining and these guys were bowling.”

He further added, “That is what I try to do now, apply that pressure, don’t expect wicket every ball, just keep putting the ball in the right areas.”

Virat Kohli was the most successful Test captain fo as he pulled off 40 wins in 68 Tests. The Indian Team performed exceptionally well under him specifically in the SENA countries. Team India developed a penetrating face bowling attack under Kohli who led them in a very aggressive manner which helped the Indian team in getting some great victories during Kohli’s leadership tenure.
