This appearance followed his earlier practice session with the Mumbai Ranji Trophy team at the Wankhede Stadium. Rohit Sharma’s training has fueled rumours about his potential participation in the 2025 Ranji Trophy amid concerns about his recent dip in Test form. However, no official announcement has been made about his inclusion in the Mumbai squad.

Australian cricket great Adam Gilchrist recently weighed in on Rohit’s future during the Club Prairie Fire podcast. “I don’t see Rohit going to England,” he remarked. “He might assess things when he gets home, but with a two-month-old baby waiting for him, it might incentivize him to press on. However, I think the Champions Trophy might be his final outing.”
