Since his comeback from injury, the Indian opener, Rohit Sharma has been able to pull of some top-notch on-field antics in Australia. He has opened the batting for India, scored a half-century in the 3rd Test, bowled medium-fast bowler to complete a Navdeep Saini over so far.

On Day 4 of the Brisbane Test, Rohit Sharma decided to take things to a whole different level when he was seen mimicking Steve Smith and shadow batted, during the drinks breaks of the 1st session, at the striker’s end with Steve Smith and Cameron Green watching. It’s clear that Sharma wasn’t in a mood of missing out on a chance to enjoy himself on the field to the fullest.

Another such instance of Rohit Sharma just doing his thing was seen when umpire Paul Wilson confirmed David Warner’s dismissal in the morning of Day 4.

The hosts had batted for the last 6 overs on Day 3 and both openers, David Warner and Marcus Harris, managed to survive as Australia’s total read 21/0. After almost 20 overs of no luck for India, the Indian bowlers finally got their breakthrough in the 25th over with Shardul Thakur dismissing Marcus Harris (38).

And the very next over would suddenly change the momentum of the game as Washington Sundar also managed to get the wicket of David Warner with an lbw. A straightforward lbw, hitting the off stump of Warner.

Umpire Paul Wilson raised his finger after India’s appeal and David Warner, who had started to walk in disbelief, turned around and went for a DRS appeal. As the replays confirmed the dismissal, umpire Paul Wilson raised his finger again, followed by the Indian deputy skipper, Rohit Sharma had raised his finger nonchalantly, right in sync with the umpire. Warner walked away after a splendid 48 with Australia reduced to 2 down for 91.
