The Indian skipper had begun his T20 World Cup campaign on a promising note, scoring a match-winning fifty against Ireland. However, his performance has dipped since then, failing to meet expectations.

In the second game against Pakistan, Rohit managed only 13 runs, followed by a meager 3 against the USA. His Super 8 campaign began poorly as well, with just 8 runs against Afghanistan.

On Saturday, although he seemed to find his rhythm, racing to 23 runs off just 10 balls, he was dismissed by Shakib Al Hasan in the fourth over. Despite his brief stint, he thrilled the fans with a massive 97-meter six, hitting Shakib Al Hasan on the first ball of the over.

At the time of writing, India stood at 110 for 4 in the 12th over, with Hardik Pandya and Shivam Dube at the crease. Kohli, who had struggled throughout the competition, finally found his form, surpassing the 30-run mark but failed to capitalize big on it. The former Indian captain aimed to capitalize on this momentum and score big.
