The young Indian opener, Ruturaj Gaikwad has played some match-winning knocks for the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 and 2021. When CSK was reeling at the bottom of the table last season when he scored a hat-trick of half-centuries in the last three games which helped CSK win the last three games. CSK finished seventh in the points table just ahead of bottom-placed Rajasthan Royals.
Although CSK and RR won 6 games each last time in the United Arab Emirates, it’s the Net Run Rate that put CSK above RR. Having played as many as 7 games for CSK in IPL2 021, the young opener amassed 196 runs at an average of 28. He chipped in with 2 half-centuries at a strike rate of 128.94. Overall, he along with Faf du Plessis provided explosive starts for CSK. Gaikwad registered his personal best batting score of 75 off 44 balls against Sunrisers Hyderabad.

With the 14th edition of the IPL suspended until further notice, Ruturaj Gaikwad has been spending some good time on social media. Recently, a popular actress in the Marathi Film industry, Sayali Sanjeev, posted a few pictures on her Instagram platform and Ruturaj commented on the post saying, “Woahh😍♥️.” In response, Sayali affectionately replied to his word, “♥️♥️♥️♥️🙈”. The post and the replies spread like wildfire on social media platforms.
Meanwhile, there were doubts about whether they are seeing each other. After the fans started to make up things based on the comment and reply, Gaikwad decided to dismiss the rumors by posting an Instagram story. In his story, aikwad said, “Only bowlers could take my wicket, that too clean bowled. Not anyone else. And whoever wanted to understand, have understood.”

Meanwhile, the yellow brigade has sorted out their woes of 2020 and performed really well this season. They kick-started their campaign with a defeat over Delhi Capitals.

However, with Ruturaj Gaikwad doing well, CSK managed to win the next 5 games on the trot. After that, they lost to Mumbai Indians. Overall, they won 5 games and lost 2. They are standing at second place in the points table with 10 points and a Net Run Rate of +1.263.
