Indian skipper Virat Kohli’s luck is quite poor when it comes to the ICC tournament. The silverware has eluded him for quite some time while leading the side as he hasn’t won anything significant since winning the U-19 World Cup back in 2008. He took India to the finals of the Champions Trophy 2017 and World Test Championship Final 2021 but the team failed to cross the last hurdle.
Former Indian wicketkeeper Saba Karim feels Kohli has a good chance of winning ICC tournaments with three tournaments coming in the next two years. He believes these tournaments will provide a good opportunity for Kohli to finally land his hands on ICC silverware.

While speaking during a discussion on India News, India could go on a spree if they win the forthcoming T20 World Cup.
“It is a great opportunity for Virat Kohli and the Indian team, that there are going to be back-to-back three World Cups. If they get off to a good start and win the first World Cup, the belief will be there that India will perform well and we can get those World Cups in our hands as well,” Saba Karim said.
The former India wicketkeeper-batsman also opined that with the right balance and execution of plans, the ‘Men in Blue’ can go all the way.

“I feel we have the team also, we have the passion as well and the biggest thing is that we have a huge number of cricket fans. It is just the wait now that the plans we have made and the preparations we have done, they need to be implemented properly,” he added.
Currently, India is targeting the upcoming five-match Test series in England, which is scheduled to begin from August 4 in Nottingham.
