Kohli is currently going through the mandatory isolation period of six days at his hotel room in Dubai, at the completion of which he will undergo a Covid-19 test before he can start preparing for IPL 2020 with his Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) teammates. The 2020 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) was initially scheduled to commence on March 29 in India. However, due to the unforeseen coronavirus pandemic, the season was indefinitely postponed by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).
It was only after the ICC’s postponement of the T20 World Cup 2020 in Australia that the BCCI decided to make use of the September-November window for staging the IPL.
