Legendary Indian cricketer, Sachin Tendulkar has said that New Zealand fast bowler Kyle Jamieson is on the course to become the leading all-rounder in international cricket. Tendulkar was seen showering praises on the 6-feet-8-inch tall cricketer and said that he was consistent and never looked out of rhythm during the World Test Championship (WTC) final against the Indian team in Southampton.
Praising the young fast bowler on his official Youtube channel, Sachin Tendulkar said, “Jamieson is a fantastic bowler and a utility all-rounder in the New Zealand team. He is going to become one of the leading all-rounders in world cricket. When I had seen him last year in New Zealand, he impressed me with both bat and ball. There were a few variations where he angled his wrists and bowled a booming in-swinger. What I like was his consistency and he never looked out of rhythm.”

Jamieson took a 5-wicket haul in the first innings historic game and later in the 2nd innings dismissed his RCB skipper, Virat Kohli for the 2nd time in the match, moments before taking another prized wicket of Cheteshwar Pujara as India lost the match by 8 wickets at Southampton’s Rose Bowl.
The 26-year-old also smashed a fiery knock of 21 runs off 16 balls in his team’s 1st innings to help New Zealand gain a crucial 32-run lead.
Jamieson, who has 46 wickets from 8 Tests now, was adjudged Man of the Match for his stellar performance. He is averaging 42.66 in his short Test career.

Talking about his performance, Kyle Jamieson said, “To have something of this context in Test cricket is massive, and to be standing up here is surreal. We knew we had a big first hour, and just to see how things panned out. We were hopeful they might pan out our way if we put the ball in the right place, but we knew this is a quality Indian team as well. It was nice to get the ball first up and to play a part, I guess. The work that Tim, Trent, Wags do, I just ride in on the back of that. It was good to bowl in the nets to him [Kohli at RCB], and to be here and go up against him over the last six days was awesome.”
