The highly anticipated Pran Pratishtha ceremony of the Ram Mandir took place successfully on Monday, January 22, marking the homecoming of Ram Lalla (child Lord Ram). Prime Minister Narendra Modi graced the sacred occasion, personally performing rituals to consecrate Lord Rama’s idol in their sanctum abode.
The event drew numerous eminent personalities from across the country who gathered in the holy city of Ayodhya to partake in this momentous occasion. Cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar was among the prominent attendees, joining the spiritual fervour that captivated the nation.
Expressing his delight at the holy shrine of Ram Janmabhoomi temple, Tendulkar praised Lord Rama and acknowledged the fulfilment of a dream shared by billions of people.

“Jai Shree Ram, it’s a special feeling. Looking forward to it. Indeed, I would say a dream come true for billions and billions of people in our nation and across the globe. The dream has been realized; come and take the blessings, there cannot be anything bigger than that,” said Sachin Tendulkar, as quoted by Times Now.

Other cricketing stalwarts, including Anil Kumble and Venkatesh Prasad, also participated in the grand festivities. Current Indian cricketer Ravindra Jadeja, accompanied by his wife Rivaba Jadeja, attended the ceremony. However, Virat Kohli, who received a personal invitation, hasn’t been spotted in Ayodhya.
The BCCI confirmed that Kohli will miss the first two Tests against England due to personal reasons, emphasizing the need for his undivided attention in certain personal situations.
