On Wednesday, the legendary Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar announced an association with Middlesex Cricket to launch Tendulkar Middlesex Global Academy (TMGA). The academy will provide an opportunity to the aspiring cricketers of all the genders who fall between the age group of nine to 14 an opportunity to learn from Tendulkar himself and Middlesex County Cricket Club (MCCC).
TMGA, a joint venture between SRT Sports Management Ltd (SRTSM) and Middlesex Cricket, will begin by launching its first cricket camp at Merchant Taylor’s School in Northwood from August 6-9 followed by other locations in Mumbai and London. SRTSM is a premier sports management organization that represents one of India’s most-reputed cricketers, Sachin Tendulkar and it was founded by Sachin’s wife Anjali Tendulkar.
Middlesex Cricket has produced stalwarts like Andrew Strauss, Mike Gatting, Denis Compton, John Emburey and Mike Brearley. The complete training curriculum has been developed by the professional coaches at MCCC and Tendulkar himself.

TMGA will also provide 100 percent scholarship to the talented underprivileged cricketers.
As quoted in BCC sorts, talking about the program, Sachin said, “I am delighted to be partnering with Middlesex Cricket on this new venture. The objective is not only to produce good cricketers but also good global citizens of the future. Through this association, Middlesex and I are focused on providing the very best in cricket education, as much as possible, for our students.”

Richard Goatley, CEO, Middlesex Cricket said, “It has been a great privilege over the past six months to work with Sachin Tendulkar and his team in developing what we believe will be the market leading coaching programme in the world.”
In his illustrious international career which lasted for around 24 years, Tendulkar amassed 15,921 runs in 200 Tests for India with the help of 51 centuries. He also helped his country win the World Cup on home soil in 2011. In ODIs, he amassed as many as 18,426 runs in 463 matches with the help of 49 centuries.
