Former India cricketer Sachin Tendulkar joined hands with Hi5 Youth Foundation and made a generous donation. With the aim to help in the fight against coronavirus pandemic, the World Cup winner financially aided 4000 underprivileged people, including children.
The Hi5 Youth Foundation acknowledged Sachin’s help and tweeted, “Thanks @sachin_rtfor proving once again that #sports encourages compassion! Your generous donation towards our #COVID19 fund enables us to financially aid 4000 underprivileged people, including children from @mybmcschools. Our budding sportspersons thank you, Little Master!”

The former Indian batsman responded to their tweet and praised the foundation for their work. Sachin Tendulkar also gave his best wishes and regards to the Hi5 Youth Foundation team.

Earlier Gautam Gambhir also shared how sure his team at the Gautam Gambhir Foundation shared food with the poor and needy in a safe and responsible way. Gambhir had committed to distributing 2,000 packets of food. The packets were being prepared and distributed by the foundation to make sure that no one should have to worry about food in this crunch time.

Sachin had donated Rs 25 lakh each to the Prime Minister’s Relief Fund in the battle against COVID-19. BCCI president Sourav Ganguly and other prominent athletes have donated money helped the government fight the COVID-19 virus. Indian cricketers like Gautam Gambhir, MS Dhoni, Pathan brothers have also contributed huge sums to help govt fight the pandemic. Mithali Raj and Poonam Yadav amongst female athletes have also contributed to the PM cares fund.
