WATCH – Sachin Tendulkar Revs-up BMW M2 In Noida

It is no secret that the legendary Indian batsman Sachin Tendulkar and the current Indian skipper Virat Kohli, ha a fascination for cars. Both love racing and the F1 tracks. However, the legend was recently spotted behind the wheels driving a BMW car around an F1 track and he was swift and smooth. He was handling the car like a pro, especially the way he took his turns and applied the brakes.

Tendulkar’s show will certainly make the veteran FI racer, Lewis Hamilton proud. The former cricketer was at the Budh International Track in Greater Noida. He was driving the newly-launched BMW M2 with a fan YouTuber and entrepreneur Pranav Panpalia.

Tendulkar initially gets into the groove with a practice lap and follows it by two hot laps. Sachin recorded a time of 2:20 minutes, which, according to a release, is 19 seconds (1:59 mins) slower than the fastest lap time around the circuit which was covered in a Ferrari 458 Challenge.

The BMW M2 costs ₹79.9 lakh. The BMW M2 Competition is imported as CBU (Completely Built-up) in India. It is a two-door coupe and is the entry-level M-Series car. It drives power from a 3.0-litre, 6-cylinder in-line engine that generates a massive 405 Bhp at 6,250 rpm and a peak torque of 550 Nm between 2,350 – 5230 rpm.

Meanwhile, Tendulkar condemned the Pulwama attack that killed 40 CRPF jawans and left the entire country in shock.

Earlier, IAF conferred Sachin with an award during a grand ceremony at the 83rd Indian Air Force Day celebrations in 2015. Fulfilling his duty for the forces, the star cricketer, dressed in a military green jumpsuit, was seen holding a smartphone trying to grab the eyeballs. At the Vayu Shakti 2019 exercise in Pokhran, Tendulkar was caught seated in between Army chief General Bipin Rawat and Air Chief Marshal BS Dhanoa in the front row of the viewing area.
