On Tuesday, the legendary Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar spent some great times with the Mumbai U-14 and U-16 teams at the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) – BKC Hall.

The little master had a Question and Answer session with the youngsters for around one and a half an hour where he spoke on a variety of issues.

From techniques to the mindset of a batsman for any game, handling the pressure or maintaining dressing room etiquettes, Sachin replied everything to the youngsters in detail. The cricketing futures eagerly joined that session to learn some valuable things.

Talking about that session, Tendulkar said, “It’s the start of the season and I normally do that. It’s a nice thing and all Mumbai cricketers should try and do the same whenever possible.”

Talking about playing on under-pressure, Tendulkar advised them to focus on their output of the day – be it runs scored, a wicket taken, a catch pouched or a run-out affected.

Tendulkar further added, “The evaluations and all the chatter on social media platforms, negative comments, etc don’t really matter as long as you’re part of a team and have the backing. A person can’t always be perfect but aiming to give your 100% at all times is what is important.”

The 45-year-old also said that the focus on the preparation is very important as it will help to improve the chances of getting better results.

Making his international cricket debut in 1989, Sachin had a 24-year long international career where he played 664 international matches (200 Tests, 463 ODIs and only T20I) and scored 34,357 runs (15,921 Test runs, 18,426 ODI runs and 10 T20I runs) and picked up 201 wickets (46 Test wickets, 154 ODI wickets and only T20I wicket).

While he experienced a lot of ups and downs in his international cricket career, he achieved huge successes after staying in patience.
