Legendary Indian cricketer, Sachin Tendulkar has come forward to thank the traffic cop and he also praised all others who serve the public. He narrated an incident wherein his friend was saved by a traffic cop, who came for help at a crucial time. He further stated that the cop took his friend to the hospital and also took necessary all the necessary precautions while traveling.
More often than not amidst our busy schedules, a lot of people forget to appreciate the efforts of people who are serving without expectations. Sachin Tendulkar thus further said that there are quite a few people who go beyond the call of duty and we should take time to appreciate such noble deeds.

In his latest Twitter post, Sachin Tendulkar wrote: “Few days ago, a close friend met with a serious accident. By God’s grace, she is better now. However, it was the timely help from a traffic cop, which made the difference. He immediately took her in an auto to a hospital and applied real presence of mind – ensuring her severely damaged spine had minimal movement while traveling. I met him and thanked him for his help.”

He further elaborated, ” There are several people like him all around us who go beyond the call of duty. The world is a beautiful place because of such people. When you see such people, especially those who serve the public, take a moment to thank them. We may not know it, but in their own way, they strive to make a difference in people’s lives. Silently.”
The batting legend then also appealed to the people for not taking any shortcuts in life which might have adverse effects. However, one should also appreciate the fact that Sachin Tendulkar has more often than not come forward to create awareness about traffic rules.

Sachin Tendulkar’s tweet also added, “To traffic police across India, thank you for your efforts towards ensuring people’s safety. To all of us: Let’s respect the traffic rules and not take shortcuts. It is not worth saving yourself some time, at the cost of putting someone else’s life at risk.”
