Sachin Tendulkar and Vinod Kambli have always been known for their never-ending friendship and the tales for the same aren’t new in Mumbai’s domestic circuit. Recently, they decided to turn the clock and revisit their playing days as both the former Indian cricketers decided to do some practice in nets during lunch break at Tendulkar-Middlesex Global Academy camp in Navi Mumbai.

A video from their time in nets was posted by none other than Master Blaster. He tweeted, “Felt great to be back in the nets with @vinodkambli349 during the @tendulkarmga lunch break!  It sure took us back to our childhood days at Shivaji Park… Very few people know that Vinod & I have always been in the same team and never played against each other. #TMGA”.

In the video, Tendulkar is seen bowling a few medium pace deliveries to Kambli. However, Sachin was consistently overstepping the mark and ICC took a note of it and replied back in a hilarious fashion.  “Watch your front foot, @sachin_rt,” replied ICC with a photograph of former umpire Steve Bucknor calling it a no-ball.

Sachin’s reply to ICC truly shows how much of a gentleman he is on and off-the-pitch and at the same time, he managed to take a dig at Bucknor’s umpiring decisions against him. “At least this time I am bowling and not batting  .. umpire’s decision is always the final decision,” the little master replied.

There is no denying the fact that Tendulkar and Bucknor had a love-hate relationship on the field. Bucknor had wrongly given out Tendulkar quite a few times during his playing days, especially when he was in his 90s and a caught behind the decision on Abdul Razzaq’s delivery during the Test between India and Pakistan in Kolkata in 2005 is just one example of many.

Here’s how Twitterati reacted:

Tendulkar further revealed an interesting piece of information about Kambli and himself as he wrote they have never played against each other and were always on the same side. Notably, Tendulkar and Kamble went on to shatter almost every record that came his way during his playing days, but the latter failed to take his career a long way.
