The excitement peaked when Tendulkar faced off against his old rival, former Sri Lankan spin wizard Muttiah Muralitharan. However, anticipation turned into disbelief when Muralitharan, playing for the One Family team, dismissed Tendulkar with the very first ball he delivered. Attempting an aggressive shot, Tendulkar failed to clear Mohammad Kaif at long-on, resulting in a catch.

In the one-off match at the Sai Krishnan Cricket Stadium, Sachin Tendulkar’s One World secured a four-wicket victory against Yuvraj Singh’s One Family. Chasing a target of 181 runs, One World’s successful pursuit was anchored by South African Alviro Petersen’s impressive 74 off 50 deliveries. Tendulkar and Naman Ojha provided a strong start, with Ojha scoring 25 off 18 deliveries before falling to Sri Lanka’s veteran Chaminda Vaas.

Earlier in the match, One Family, choosing to bat first after winning the toss, posted a total of 181 runs, with Darren Maddy contributing significantly with a brilliant 51 off 41 deliveries.
