Cricket great Sachin Tendulkar brought Holi’s celebratory mood alive as he arranged a funny prank on Yuvraj Singh during the first International Masters League (IML) T20, 2025. India Masters team, which had gotten into the spirit of things by making it to the final, took time off to play and celebrate the festival of colours, and Sachin ensured that Yuvraj was at the centre of it too.

In a video that has gone viral on social media, Sachin made his mischievous plans known from the beginning. Smiling slyly, he announced that he would wake up Yuvraj, who had played a match-winning innings in the semi-final against Australia Masters on March 13. The front-runners were Sachin and his team, who marched to Yuvraj’s hotel room, making out to be housekeeping staff.

When the unsuspecting Yuvraj slowly opened the door half asleep, he was greeted with a splash of water and an explosion of laughter. Sachin, smiling from ear to ear, wished him a happy Holi as the rest of the team followed, showering him with colour. The merriment did not end there—they played the same trick on Ambati Rayudu, causing another round of laughter-induced pandemonium.

At the same time, on the cricketing pitch, India Masters had a great run in the IML 2025, with four victories in five games, and finishing second in the table. They lost to Australia alone, but they settled scores with them in the semi-final in a dominant manner.

Following Australia’s captain Shane Watson’s decision to bowl first, India Masters lost Rayudu early. But Sachin went back in time with a vintage knock to take the team to 60 runs in the powerplay. He and Yuvraj added a breathtaking 47-run partnership before Sachin fell for 42. Then Yuvraj unleashed a carnage of a 30-ball 59, hitting seven sixes. Late-night fireworks from Stuart Binny, Yusuf Pathan, and Irfan Pathan took India Masters to an impressive 220/7, booking their spot in the final in style.
