Former Pakistani spinner Saeed Ajmal has once again raised concerns over the dismissal of Sachin Tendulkar during the 2011 World Cup semi-final between India and Pakistan at Mohali. Ajmal claimed that the decision was manipulated by the officials, suggesting that two frames were removed from the DRS replays to show that the ball was missing the stumps.

During the match, Tendulkar was given out LBW by umpire Ian Gould off Ajmal’s bowling. However, Tendulkar opted for a DRS review, which showed that the ball pitched in line but missed the leg stump. This decision sparked controversy in Pakistan, and Ajmal expressed dissatisfaction even after the match.

As per the quotes intact, Saeed Ajmal said, “We played in the 2011 World Cup, you must remember the incident with Sachin Tendulkar. The LBW decision was overturned. The controversy about it is still going on. It was out. Both, the umpire and I knew it was out. They had cut two frames to make it look like the ball missed the stumps. Otherwise, it would’ve hit the stumps in the middle.”

Despite the controversy surrounding Tendulkar’s dismissal, he scored 85 runs, helping India post a total of 260/9 in their 50 overs. In reply, Pakistan managed 231 runs, with each of the five Indian bowlers taking two wickets each.
