Sai Sudharsan’s blazing innings in the IPL clash between Chennai Super Kings and Gujarat Titans on Friday marked a historic milestone as he became the fastest Indian player to reach 1000 runs in the tournament. The left-handed batsman achieved this remarkable feat during his explosive innings at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
It was in the 11th over of the match that Sudharsan hammered CSK’s Simarjeet Singh for consecutive sixes, propelling his score to 71 runs off just 38 deliveries, thereby crossing the 1000-run mark in IPL. Sai Sudharsan’s achievement breaks the record previously held jointly by the legendary Sachin Tendulkar and Ruturaj Gaikwad, both of whom reached 1000 runs in 31 innings.

Notably, SAi Sudharsan achieved this milestone in just 25 innings, setting a new benchmark for Indian players in the IPL. He also became the first Indian player to achieve this feat in fewer than 30 innings, joining the ranks of cricketing luminaries such as Shaun Marsh and Lendl Simmons.
