In a commanding display of dominance, Gujarat Titans bulldozed their way into the IPL 2025 playoffs with a thumping 10-wicket win over Delhi Capitals at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi. Chasing a stiff 200-run target, the Titans openers—Sai Sudharsan and captain Shubman Gill—made a mockery of the chase, putting on an unbeaten 200-run partnership to seal the match with an over to spare.

KL Rahul’s magnificent century (112* off 65) had lifted Delhi Capitals to a competitive 199, but it was Sai Sudharsan who stole the show with an exceptional 108* off just 58 balls. His knock, laced with exquisite timing and intelligent shot selection, took him to the top of the Orange Cap leaderboard. Gill, not to be outdone, played a sublime hand himself, hammering 93* and rotating the strike seamlessly.
Speaking after the match, a visibly satisfied Sai Sudharsan reflected on his growth. “It feels great to help the team win. I missed out quite a few times this season, and during the break, I thought about it a lot. Glad it paid off today.”

He admitted to maturing mentally and learning from past mistakes. “Earlier, I was throwing my wicket away by taking chances. This time, I chose the right matchups and stayed calm. I’ve started believing more in myself to take the game deep.”

While satisfied with his form, Sai Sudharsan acknowledged room for improvement, particularly in attacking spin and finishing games.
“After the 15th over, I know I need to get better. I’m working on that.” He also credited his growing partnership with Gill. “There’s a strong understanding between us. Running between the wickets, communication—it’s all clicking now.”
