Tamil Nadu’s young cricketing sensation Sai Sudharsan received a momentous call-up to the Indian team on Thursday, November 30. He has been selected for India’s ODI squad for the upcoming South Africa series scheduled for December. Sudharsan, who impressed the cricketing world with his stellar performance in the 2023 Indian Premier League, expressed his elation at the selection. He acknowledged the significance of the achievement but also emphasized the need for continuous improvement.
“It’s an incredible feeling, and I’m still trying to process it all. It’s a dream come true, but at the same time, this is just the beginning. I recognize that there are still areas where I need to refine my game,” Sai Sudharsan stated in an interview with Sportstar on Thursday.
Sudharsan’s remarkable innings of 96 runs for the Gujarat Titans in the IPL final catapulted him into the limelight. His consistent performances throughout the tournament, including three half-centuries, showcased his versatility and ability to adapt to different situations.

“I gained valuable insights from participating in these tournaments, and the exposure has undoubtedly helped me improve my batting skills,” Said Sudharsan remarked about his County stint.

Despite his recent successes, Sudharsan remains grounded and focused on his immediate goals. He is determined to help his team, Tamil Nadu, qualify for the knockouts in the ongoing Vijay Hazare tournament.
“My primary objective is to concentrate on our match against Punjab tomorrow (Friday) and contribute to the team’s qualification for the knockouts,” he added.
