Talented batter Sai Sudharshan is all set to make his return to Surrey for two of their County Championship games against Lancashire and Nottinghamshire. Earlier, Sudharshan played for Surrey against Essex at the Kia Oval in June before playing for India following that. With the Duleep Trophy around the corner, the two games for Surrey could prove to be helpful for Sudharshan.
However, in the Duleep Trophy, the youngster is a part of Team C. The tournament will start on September 5, and Sudharshan’s stint with Surrey will end on September 1 as well. To make the announcement official, Surrey Cricket took to their X (formerly known as Twitter) and confirmed that Sai Sudharshan has joined the tean and will be available for the side’s next two matches.
“Sai Sudharsan back to Surrey. There We Land! Sai is available for the next two @CountyChamp matches vs Lancs & Notts,” Surrey Cricket tweeted.

However, Sai Sudharshan was recently called up for Team India after his brilliant show in the IPL (Indian Premier League) 2024 for Gujarat Titans. Having scored 527 runs in 12 innings at an average of 47.90, he was the highest run-getter for his side in the season as well. As for Surrey, the side is in great form, as they are sitting at the top of the standings with six wins out of nine games so far. The side has 157 points to their name and they will be hopeful of another two wins with Sai Sudharshan in their squad as well.
