The Indian Cricketers’ Salaries system is divided into three class A, B, and C respectively. The grading system is especially for the players who perform well and can be promoted or demoted on the basis of their performance.

Recently, the Committee of Administrators (CoA) has finalized the annual contracts of the Indian players for the period which started from October 2016. BCCI has promoted the players like Cheteshwar Pujara, Ravindra Jadeja, and Murali Vijay to Grade A. The Indian board has also increased the match fees for Tests, One-Day Internationals (ODIs) and Twenty20 Internationals.

According to the new salary system, the Indian cricketers will now get Rs 15 lakhs per Test, Rs 6 lakhs per ODI and Rs 3 lakhs for T20 Internationals. The Grade A players will now be paid Rs 2 crore per annum, Grade B will be paid Rs 1 crore per annum and the Grade C players will get Rs 50 lakhs per annum. These figures are exactly double of the previous year contract of the players.

These changes have come into effect from Oct 1, 2016.

Despite the fact that Suresh Raina had played for India after October 1, 2016, still didn’t qualify in the 32-member list. Harbhajan Singh and Gautam Gambhir are not on the list as they have played before the said date, from which the contracts are to come into effect.
