Indian skipper Virat Kohli, at this moment, is one of the best batsmen in the world if not the best. He has been going strong for the last ten years and so while taking the Indian team to new heights. His insane thrust for runs has often led others to regard him as the best batsman of this era. His legendary status in One-Day cricket is a no-brainer, however, some put Australia’s talismanic batsman Steve Smith above him when it comes to Test cricket.

Meanwhile, former Pakistan skipper Salman Butt has hailed Kohli’s ability to dominate the game in every format. Butt believes Kohli is the most impactful batsman in the world across all three formats of the game.

“I believe Virat Kohli is the most impactful batsman in the world across all formats. There is no doubt about that. His performances speak for themselves and have turned the results in his team’s favour,” Salman Butt said during a Q/A session on his YouTube channel.

Against his nature, the Indian skipper has gone over a year and a half without scoring a single century. Despite this, runs never stopped flowing from his bat as he scored half-centuries at regular interval and is among the leading run-scorers in the period since his last ton.

Salman Butt’s claim seems true as well keeping Kohli’s insane records in mind. He is currently averaging 52.37 in Tests, 59 in ODIs and 52.65 in T20Is, which makes him among only a few cricketers who are averaging above 50 in all three formats.

So far, Kohli has scored 70 international centuries is only behind Ricky Ponting (71 centuries) and Sachin Tendulkar (100 centuries). His 43 tons in ODIs is only second to Tendulkar and cricket pundits believe it is just a matter of time before he eclipses that record.

Kohli holds the world record for being the fastest batsman to 8000, 9000, 10000, 11000, and 12,000 runs in ODIs. Among Indian batsmen, Kohli has the best-ever Test rating (937 points), ODI rating (911 points), and T20I rating (897 points).
