Chennai Super Kings (CSK) is locking horns with the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) on Sunday in the first game of the day. It has been a forgettable season so far for as they have been ruled out of the race for the playoffs. They are currently standing at the bottom of the points table. The only shining light in the dark tunnel for them has been the young English all-rounder Sam Curran.

The pocket-sized dynamo has been delivering for the team more often than not as he has been batting at the middle-order, played the role of a finisher. He has also been consistently taking wickets and then has struck with the ball as well picking a lot of wickets for his team. It was Curran who saved the day for CSK after they were struggling at 30/6 against Mumbai Indians (MI) on Friday.

Sam Curran against became the trend on social media during the match against RCB but interestingly, it wasn’t for his performance. When the game began, the southpaw took the new ball and after delivering a couple of overs, his look was loved by the netizens. He was wearing sunglasses with a fluorescent green-colored border while fielding. Curran had his hands on hips as well and the same picture left the Twitterati in splits.

The social media gimmicks immediately took a dig at the southpaw as they came up with hilarious memes to make the all-rounder’s look trending. Meanwhile, in the game against RCB, Sam Curran was the talking point for his exceptional bowling spell as well. He picked crucial wickets of Aaron Finch, Virat Kohli and Moeen Ali during his three-over spell and conceded only 19 runs. CSK made the most of the sticky track in Dubai and made sure that RCB didn’t get away at any stage in the innings.

Mitchell Santner, playing his first match, also went for only 23 runs in his four overs and scalped the in-form batsman, Devdutt Padikkal. Deepak Chahar dished out some decent variations to end up picking a couple of wickets too as CSK restricted RCB to just 145 runs for the loss of six wickets in their 20 overs. Meanwhile, Sam Curran was the talk of the town for his hilarious pose.
