The English fast bowler Sam Curran is all geared up to replace his brother will replace his brother Tom in the England squad for the One Day International series against India, the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) announced on Tuesday.
All-rounder Tom, who plays for Surrey in the county cricket is yet to be recovered from a left side strain and will also miss the three-match T20 series with the Indians which started on Tuesday.

England batsman Dawid Malan had been called up last Friday as a replacement for Tom for at least the first of the T20 matches. ECB’s statement read: “Tom will now commence his rehabilitation programme at the Oval under the supervision of Surrey and England’s medical teams.”
However, Team India kick-started their grueling England tour in a thrashing way where Kuldeep Yadav claimed a fifer and KL Rahul scored a magnificent century in the first T20I of three-match T20I series against the hosts England at Old Trafford (Manchester) on Tuesday. England was restricted to just 159/8 in 20 overs while India reached their target in 18.2 overs after losing only their both openers. Indian skipper Virat Kohli decided to bowl first after winning the toss.

While India won this game by eight wickets with 10 balls to spare, Kuldeep Yadav won the Player of the Match award for his impressive performance.
