England all-rounder Sam Curran has recently explained the reason why he skipped IPL 2022. He added that he wanted to play in the tournament as well. However, Curran was a key member of the Chennai Super Kings team in the last two seasons. Before that, the left-arm pacer took a hat-trick for the Punjab Kings in the cash-rich league as well. However, last year, Sam Curran was ruled out of IPL 2021 and ICC T20 World Cup 2021 due to an injury.

In a recent interview with ESPNCricinfo, Curran said, “I’m gutted not to be there. It’s a frustration watching from home. I wanted to go [into the auction] but I didn’t at the end – which was probably the best decision. Looking back, (the) IPL probably came a little bit too soon.”

During the same interview, Curran has also added that IPL is a tournament where he gets an opportunity to discuss cricket with all the famous players. He again shared that he is planning to make a comeback to the league in the upcoming seasons as well. As far as CSK’s recent season is concerned, they have lost both their games so far. And, they are certainly missing Curran in IPL 2022.

Ravindra Jadeja said after losing their second game against LSG: “We had a very good start, Robbie and Shivam Dube were playing brilliantly. We had a good start, but in the fielding, we have to take catches then you’ll win matches. We should have taken those chances. There was a lot of dew, the ball wasn’t sticking to the hand. Next time, we have to practise with the wet ball. We batted brilliantly in the top-six and in the middle-overs. The wicket was very good to bat on. As a bowling unit, we need to execute our plans.”
