Partnering with Suryakumar Yadav, Rohit ensured a strong start for MI, adding 81 runs to the scoreboard. Suryakumar, too, displayed exceptional batting, crafting a superb innings of 78 runs off 53 balls, featuring 7 fours and 3 sixes, at a striking rate of approximately 195. Together, they propelled MI past the 100-run mark swiftly after the early dismissal of Ishan Kishan for just 8 runs off Kagiso Rabada’s bowling.

Despite skipper Hardik Pandya’s brief stint at the crease, contributing 10 runs, it was Tilak Varma (34*) and Tim David (14) who bolstered MI’s total, ensuring a formidable score of 192 runs. Punjab Kings’ bowlers, led by Sam Curran and Harshal Patel, put in a commendable effort, with Patel claiming figures of 3/31 and Curran securing 2/41 in their respective four overs.
