Royal Challengers Bangalore weren’t looking like going anywhere with their batting innings during the death overs. Only AB de Villiers was left in the middle as a recognized batsman. But that was enough for them. De Villiers went absolutely berserk at the death overs and propelled his team’s score to 171/5 in 20 overs.
RCB was going well with the bat but it was the death-over assault that gave them a score to make a match out of it. De Villiers was the main reason behind it. He scored 75 runs in just 42 balls, which includes three fours and five sixes. He smashed Marcus Stoinis’ final over for 23 runs.

Soon after the ABD storm, a sandstorm arrived in Ahmedabad and didn’t allow Delhi Capitals’ chase to begin on time. The weather was pretty normal throughout the RCB innings but a furious wind took sand with it and the visibility dropped significantly. However, it halted the game for a few minutes and it resumed as soon as the storm passed by.
