In India, cricket and Bollywood always go hand in hand to a large extent. Recently, Sanjay Manjrekar, the former Indian cricketer, most definitely finds an association between the two fields.
Hardik Pandya played extraordinarily well on Day 2 of the series opener against South Africa at the Newlands in Cape Town. He also played a brilliant knock and followed it up with a bowling spell impressed Manjrekar and he compared the Baroda all-rounder’s all-around display with the roles played by the legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan.
The current commentator took to Twitter and hailed Pandya’s all-around performance while drawing its comparison with Bachchan’s double-role in movies. Here’s the post on Twitter:
Like Amitabh Bachchan used to play those double roles, Hardik Pandya also showed two characters in his superb innings. The modern T20 player along with the orthodox classical Test batsman.#INDvSA #HardikPandya #SonyTen1

Ahead of that performance, most of the people were critical about Hardik’s selection in the squad as the fourth seamer and as a lower down the order as a batter in South Africa. However, he showed maturity and dragged India out of the pits. Pandya came to bat when India was down to 76/5 and was staring down the barrel.
Pandya also dismissed Dean Elgar and Aiden Markram on the final session of Day 2. India will now be hoping for the all-rounder to carry forward his form on the fourth day.
