Vaibhav Sooryavanshi continued his dream IPL 2026 campaign with another jaw-dropping innings, hammering Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) all over the park during Rajasthan Royals’ crucial clash in Jaipur on Tuesday night. Chasing a daunting 221-run target, the teenage opener produced a sensational 93 off just 38 balls to power Rajasthan Royals (RR) closer to an IPL 2026 playoff spot.

The 15-year-old batter looked unstoppable from the moment he walked out to bat. Vaibhav Sooryavanshi smashed seven fours and 10 towering sixes in an innings that completely shifted the momentum in RR’s favour. His fearless strokeplay once again highlighted why he has emerged as one of the season’s biggest breakout stars.

With this knock, Sooryavanshi also created IPL history by becoming the first batter to hit 50 sixes in a single IPL 2026 season. He has now raced to 53 maximums and is only six sixes away from equalling Chris Gayle’s legendary all-time IPL record of 59 sixes in a season, achieved for Royal Challengers Bengaluru in 2012.

Even the opposition could not help but admire the youngster’s brilliance. LSG owner Sanjiv Goenka was seen applauding Sooryavanshi during the match after watching his bowling attack get dismantled. After the game, Goenka shared a heartfelt message for the RR opener and praised both his talent and temperament.

“The world has seen your talent. The nation sees the future in you. That’s a lot of responsibility already on very young shoulders,” Sanjiv Goenka wrote while sharing pictures with the youngster.

He further advised the teenager to stay grounded and continue improving his game.

Earlier in the evening, powered by brilliant knocks from Mitchell Marsh (96) and Josh Inglis (60), LSG had posted a massive 220/5. However, Sooryavanshi’s explosive innings, along with valuable contributions from Dhruv Jurel and Yashasvi Jaiswal, helped RR chase down the target comfortably in 19.1 overs.
