Arjun Tendulkar, following in the footsteps of his father Sachin, has been making steady progress in domestic cricket. The left-handed bowling all-rounder, who has represented Goa in the Ranji Trophy and Mumbai Indians in the IPL, famously scored a century on his Ranji debut — a feat reminiscent of Sachin’s debut heroics in 1988–89.

While Snehal Kauthankar was appointed captain, he will miss the first game. Meanwhile, former Delhi Capitals all-rounder Lalit Yadav, who recently switched to Goa, was also included in the squad, adding depth and balance to the side ahead of the new season.
