The 14th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) has been going on at full pace. While there were run-fests in some games, a few were nail-biting too. One of the matches were between Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Mumbai Indians (MI) in the 5th league game. But the interesting thing was KKR lost the game from the winning position which left everyone surprised as well. But which stole the limelight was The surprising expression of Ritika Sajdeh and Natasa Stankovic at one point in time during the match.
After Eoin Morgan put MI into bat first, KKR did an excellent job to restrict them within 152 as well. With much surprise, Mumbai lost all of their wickets in 20 overs. While chasing, they got off to flying start with their openers – Nitish Rana and Shubman Gill who both added a 72-run opening stand. From that point, no one would have thought of a defeat but they collapsed.
However, KKR required 31 runs from 30 balls with Dinesh Karthik and Andre Russell in the middle. Soon after, everyone saw that Mumbai Indians captain Rohit Sharma came into the bowl. While this step shocked everyone, it didn’t leave Rohit Sharma’s wife, Ritika Sajdeh and others too as they were seen surprised looking at Natasa’s phone.
And the image of their surprised look went viral as well. Although many were confused over the image, the Mumbai Indians franchise took the initiative and revealed the secret on social media for the fans.

However, after the win, Rohit Sharma said: “Was a great fightback, excellent fightback by each one of them. You don’t see a game like this often. Lots of confidence from this game and we move forward. KKR batted brilliantly in the powerplay. Rahul came and got us crucial wickets in the middle. Krunal bowling those overs at the end was vital as well. It was a complete team effort and credit to all the bowlers. As batters you need to carry on. The trend in Chennai is you can’t hit from ball one.”
He continued: You have to plan before you go into bat. We were 15-20 runs short. Should have batted well at the fag end. We need to understand how we need to bat at the death but I don’t want to take anything away from the boys. SKY has carried his form well. He plays fearless and it’s a positive sign for us in the first few overs. We need a guy there to do that. We have done the finishing part well as a team, just that we need to understand the surfaces here and adapt.
