Former Indian opener Virender Sehwag has often been seen presenting his pre and post-match analysis of the games in ongoing IPL 2020 on his official social media handles. In the recent episode of his show after Chennai Super Kings (CSK)’s 10-wicket loss against Mumbai Indians (MI), Sehwag took a dig at the fitness of Rohit Sharma and Saurabh Tiwary.
Rohit has been missing the action since the game against CSK due to an injury as Kieron Pollard led the side. Mumbai Indians comfortably thrashed their arch-rivals Chennai Super Kings by a huge 10-wicket margin after bundling them out on a paltry 114 while bowling first. It was an easy win for MI, who is currently leading the IPL 2020 points table.

After Mumbai’s win over Chennai, Sehwag released his new episode of ‘Viru Ki Baithak’ where he spoke about the game. While mentioning Rohit’s absence from the playing XI, the former India opener took a dig at the MI skipper’s fitness referring to him as ‘vada pav’. He also referred to Rohit’s replacement Saurabh Tiwary as ‘samosa pav’.
On the show, Sehwag was heard saying, “Rohit was not playing. But so what if vada pav was injured? His spot was taken by samosa pav. I mean Saurabh Tiwary. Understood why?”

In Rohit’s absence, Ishan Kishan came out to open the innings along with MI wicket-keeper batsman, Quinton de Kock. Ishan went on to score a cracking 68 off 37 balls with help of five sixes and six fours. He was well supported by De Kock, who scored 46 off 37 balls.

Act of shamelessness from @virendersehwag
