The Women’s Big Bash League (WBBL) earlier this month and the first match was played between Melbourne Stars facing Sydney Sixers Women. However, Sydney Sixers Women had won the toss and elected to field first. Moreover, Melbourne Stars went off to a flying start. Women’s cricket is rapidly developing across the world with more female cricket talent being spotted.
And the Australian cricket Board has done well to give a platform to women cricketers. The BCCI is likely to start a women’s only IPL in the coming years. And such a noble step will only help the sport to grow further across the world. Moreover, the amount of talent that will be generated and showcased will also help Indian cricket.

The flamboyant Indian opener, Shafali Verma was impressive in the field during her debut game in the BBL. She affected a brilliant run out to send back Sutherland, who was looking in form. Moreover, they already have the Big Bash League for men. But now they have created one for the women.
And most notably a lot of the cricketing fraternity is in the applause of the Australian Cricket Board. Various cricket experts have often been seen suggesting the BCCI to do the same.

However, Shafali Verma failed to impress with the bat. She could not score big as she is known for in the arena of Women’s cricket. Moreover, Shafali was dismissed for just 8 runs from 10 balls which were not impressive at all. But Sydney Sixers went on to win the match comfortably due to the crucial innings of Aj Healy.
