Shaheen Afridi Had A Heated Altercation With Sarfaraz Ahmed

In a recent match of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) between Lahore Qalandars and Quetta Gladiators, Pakistani pacer Shaheen Afridi had engaged in a verbal banter with fellow Quetta Gladiators and Pakistan skipper Sarfaraz Ahmed. The incident took place in the fifth ball of the third over, Shaheen Afridi bowled a deadly bouncer which hit directly into Sarfaraz Ahmed’s helmet. It caused the latter to suffer a concussion and he took a moment or so to recover from it and the Umpiredecided to signal it as a No-Ball.

However, Shaheen Afridi did not like the Umpire’s decision as he believed that Sarfaraz had stepped out and due to his short stature, it should not have been considered as a No-Ball. At this moment, the latter also got involved in the argument and tried to calm Shaheen Afridi down. However, the pacer lashed out at his national team’s captain which was definitely not liked by Sarfaraz.

Ahmed was seen heating down the pitch away from the bowler chirping which walking towards his run-up.  The batsman who was at the non-striker’s end came in to solve the issue. He separated the two and calmed Sarfaraz Ahmed down. Here is the video of the incident:

The Commentators and all the Cricket analysts could understand Shaheen Afridi’s passion for the game, but they think that the fast bowler should’ve been more considerate while lashing out at the Pakistan skipper.

Half of PSL 2021 has already been played and it has given the fans quite a lot of memorable moments to cherish. Among the two teams that took place in the match we talked About, Shaheen Afridi’s Lahore Qalandars is currently placed in third place on the table whereas Sarfaraz Khan’s Quetta Gladiators is at the bottom of the table. This season has been probably the worst season ever for Sarfaraz Khan’s side.

As of now, Islamabad United are the table toppers in PSL with 12 points in eight matches. However, Peshawar Zalmi is highly likely to overtake them this week. They are currently second on the table. They are just two points behind Islamabad, having played one match lesser. The two teams will take on each other tomorrow in what is supposed to be the best match of this PSL season.
