Shaun Tait, Pakistan’s bowling coach, is impressed with his team’s performance in the ongoing Test series against Australia. However, Tait will be there with Pakistan for a year and he is looking forward to working with the youngster. He also said that Shaheen Afridi is ‘teaching’ him a lot, too. Other than him, Shaun Tait also applauded rookie pacer Naseem Shah’s bowling on the first day of the third Test.

“As a bowling group, we picked up five wickets and kept the economy rate in control in good batting conditions, which is pretty good,” Tait said to Pakistan Cricket before the start of Day Two. “Shaheen is a great bowler and asks a lot of questions. So far, I have enjoyed my time with him, and I actually learned a lot from him. He is very mature and skillful for his age. He showed that yesterday by getting both conventional and reverse swing. He got some crucial wickets at the end of the day, and hopefully, he gets more wickets in the morning session today.”

However, ahead of the current all-format series against Australia, Shaun Tait was appointed as Pakistan’s bowling coach last month. Australia have toured Pakistan for the very first time since the 1998/99 season and they are now playing a three-match Test series that is now tied at 0-0. The Test series will be followed by three ODIs and a one-off T20I as well.
