The king of Bollywood, Shahrukh Khan’s love for cricket is known to one and all. In the first edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL), SRK bought the franchise Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). The team was comprised of stalwarts like Sourav Ganguly and despite that initial edition of IPL hasn’t been memorable ones for KKR.
In 2012, KKR finally sealed their name on the coveted trophy of IPL under the leadership of Gautam Gambhir. He also led the team to win the title in 2014 as well. Despite these wins, it’s shocking to know that Gambhir doesn’t stand in Shahrukh’s favorite list of cricketers. Earlier this year, Shahrukh promoted his film ‘Raees’ during an international cricket match.
During those promotions, SRK revealed that Indian skipper Virat Kohli is his most favorite cricketer, because of his attacking attitude.
Talking some of his other favorites, Shahrukh said that MS Dhoni is also one of his favorites due to his calm nature even in crunch situations. He also asserted that he loves the mustache of all-rounder Sir Ravindra Jadeja. SRK also accepted that he is attracted towards Yuvraj Singh’s flamboyant style of playing cricket.
In his childhood days, when SRK played cricket, he always played as a wicket-keeper. He said that he never cheated even in gali cricket as he strongly feels that cheating shouldn’t be an option while playing a game.
