India are currently dominating Bangladesh in the first-ever pink-ball Test, being played at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata. The inaugural day-night Test saw BCCI leaving no stone unturned to make it successful. From Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee along with the stalwarts of Indian cricket – Sachin Tendulkar, VVS Laxman, Rahul Dravid, Mithali Raj, Jhulan Goswami etc. were present there. Even the participants of Bangladesh team which played their first-ever Test against India in 2000 were also felicitated at Eden. Meanwhile, the report suggested that Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan has landed in Kolkata on a private business trip.
The no.1 all-rounder in the world was handed over the ban by the ICC for two years, which included one year of suspension, for not reporting the corrupt approaches from bookies. If it hadn’t been for the ban, Shakib Al Hasan would have been leading the team there.
The visitors must love him to visit the ground and give them some motivation after being bowled out for 106 on day one with Ishant Sharma picking 5/22. It is not clear whether Shakib can enter the stadium during his ban period, or meet the players in the dressing room, but they are actually missing his experience in both the departments and as a captain.

Bangladesh have been in a pretty bad situation in the Test where they were bowled out for 106 in the first innings. Moreover, two of their players were replaced by concussion substitutes. Mehidy Hasan replaced Liton Das, whereas Taijul Islam came in place of Nayeem Hasan.
India, on the other hand, have been in a good position where Cheteshwar Pujara made 55 and Virat Kohli smashed the first century by an Indian in the day-night Test match, scoring 136 runs before getting dismiss to Ebadot Hossain. The vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane also made a half-century.
