India has batted superbly in the ongoing Johannesburg Test, where they put 187 runs on the board on a difficult batting surface on day one. Virat Kohli and Cheteshwar Pujara were stars with the bat, while Hashim Amla was the lone fighter from South African camp.

Despite big guns like Kohli, AB de Villiers and Faf du Plessis are playing in this game, the first six of this match came from the blade of an Indian tail-ender. Mohammad Shami is the only man in this Test match to hit a six.

In the second Indian innings, Shami came after Ajinkya Rahane got dismiss. He straightaway expressed his game and sent Morne Morkel over square leg to hit the first six of this Test.

Kohli’s gusty 41 and Rahane’s sparkling 48 has set the tone nicely in the favor of India as South Africa has to chase 241 to complete a whitewash in the series. In response, Shami drew the first blood by dismissing Aiden Markram on a bouncer.
