India seamer Mohammed Shami on Friday came in support of skipper Virat Kohli’s rotation policy for the home season, saying it helps cricketers like him get adequate rest for the long labor.
Talking to reporters, Shami said, “I fully support Kohli’s rotation policy. It gives rest to players like me to get ready not only for Tests but across formats.”
Shami was part of the ODI series against Australia but played only one match in Bengaluru. He did not get a wicket in his quota of 10 overs. Both Shami and Umesh Yadav played less in the ODIs with Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Jasprit Bumrah are the first choice fast bowlers in the ODI-setup.
