Shane Warne recalls umpiring mistakes against Sachin Tendulkar

The pandemic spread of the COVID-19 virus has brought the world down to a standstill. Many major sporting events have either been postponed or canceled in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic affecting the globe. Cricket has also suffered a similar fate with many international and domestic matches being canceled. With no cricket going on, all the cricketers have a lot of free time on their hands right now. They are making the most of it by spending time with family. Many cricketers have also been proactive on their social media in the past few weeks due to the lockdown. Former Australian player Shane Warne is no different as he decided to spend some time on Twitter. The former leg-spinner commented on a video of him bowling against Sachin Tendulkar on his Twitter Feed.

Shane Warne responded to a video on Twitter, where he is appealing for LBW against Sachin Tendulkar. The leg spinner rt’d the tweet and responded on the same. The video clip is from the India-Australia Test back during the  1998 series which was being played in Chennai.

“Seriously? Come on @robelinda2 !!!!!! How’s that not out?” tweeted the former Australian spinner.

Earlier in the first innings of the game, the Australian spin wizard was successful in dismissing the little master for just four runs. However, he couldn’t repeat the same in the second innings. Sachin Tendulkar scored 155 in the second innings to help India win that match.

Shane Warne has featured in 145 Test matches for Australia and scalped 708 wickets with an economy rate of 2.65 in the baggy green. The legendary Australian leg-spinner also featured in 194 ODI’s and scalped 293 wickets with an economy rate of 4.25.
