South African cricketer AB de Villiers’ shocking announcement to retire from the international cricket has stunned the cricket world. The cricket world can’t come out easily from the sad reality. Recently, Shane Watson wrote a message for him where he claimed that AB was one of his most favorite teammates.
Former Australian all-rounder Shane Watson and South African cricketer AB de Villiers were the teammates in the IPL 2016 and 2017 where both of them played for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). In their presence, RCB finished as a runner-up in the IPL 2016.

However, AB was retained for this season while Watson was released for the 2018 IPL Auction where the two-time IPL champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK) bought him for INR 4 crores. Both the high experienced cricketers are in-form in this IPL season as AB scored total 480 runs while Shane has scored already 438 runs.
Moreover, Watson has also some contribution with the ball as he has taken 6 wickets in this season.
On AB de Villiers’ retirement from the international cricket, Watson congratulated him through the Twitter for a brilliant international career. The Australian further added that he is one of his favorite players to play against and also one of his most favorite teammates.
Watson posted, “Congrats @ABdeVilliers17 for an international career that people only ever dream of. One of my favourite players to play against and most certainly one of my most favourite teammates I have ever played with. You will be missed mate. #respect”

Watson’s team CSK is just one match behind to win the IPL 2018 crown as they have reached the final of the tournament.
On the other hand, de Villiers’ RCB struggled in the whole season as they finished at the sixth position in the points table with 12 points. However, RCB was very close to reaching the playoffs despite their poor start, but ultimately they just failed to achieve that.
