The fiery West India fast bowler, Shannon Gabriel was bowling at his very beast on the first day of the second Test against New Zealand on Friday as he managed to scalp as many as three wickets while conceding only 57 runs in 18 overs. Well, Gabriel missed on his fourth wicket on Day 1 as Darren Bravo failed to collect an easy catch of Henry Nicholls in the slips.
Henry Nicholls was lucky on the day as he was dropped three times and the southpaw made the most of it scoring an unbeaten century. Notably, Gabriel was looking frustrated with his team’s consistent poor fielding effort and ended up abusing his teammate.

Shannon Gabriel shouted at Darren Bravo using a cuss word and the sound was clearly caught on the stump mic. One of the fans took a dig at Gabriel, as the latter was caught cussing on the stump mic:

New Zealand had been dismissed for 460 on teh second day of the Test match with Nicholls producing a career-best 174, while Neil Wagner finished on a pugnacious 66 not out, his first half-century in the longest format. Kyle Jamieson and Tim Southee ran through the West Indies batting lineup to put New Zealand on top at the close of play of Day 2 of the second Test at the Basin Reserve on Saturday.

Jamieson managed to scalped his second five-wicket haul of his Test career to leave the visitors reeling at 124-8, still, 336 runs behind the hosts’ 460 and facing the possibility of another heavy defeat. In the first Test, Kane Williamson had scored a double century as teh hosts had wo the game by a huge margin of innings and 134 runs.
