In a bizarre turn of events, team India’s star all-rounder Shardul Thakur lost his luggage at the Mumbai Airport. Thakur was traveling via an Air India flight and as he reached the Mumbai airport but failed to find his kit bags in the luggage belt. The 30-year-old then tweeted that this was not the first time his luggage has gone missing and that there was no staff member present near the luggage belt to assist him.
In his tweet, Shardul Thakur also tagged Air India and wrote “@airindiain can you send someone to help me with the luggage belt ? Not the first time that my kit bags haven’t arrived and no staff present at the location either!!”
Replying to Shardul, Harbhajan Singh wrote, “My dear we will make sure you get your bag and our staff will be there to assist you.. sorry for the inconvenience.. (Ex Airindian Bhajji) we love you.”

Shardul Thakur recently took part in a three-match ODI series against South Africa and performed well. To note, Shardul is not part of the Indian squad that will be participating in the upcoming T20 World Cup 2022, but he will be travelling to Australia as replacement for Deepak Chahar, who was in the reserves.

Talking about the same, Shardul Thakur said, “Of course, it’s a big setback. Every player dreams to play in the World Cup, not just play but win it as well. It’s okay I’m not selected this time. But there’s still a lot of cricket left and also there’s the ODI World Cup next year. My focus will be to do well in whatever matches I play and make winning contributions.”
